Salary Range: Up to $35000

Under limited supervision, the Assistant Facility Manager performs a variety of semi-skilled work in the maintenance of bank properties; management of bank vehicles; and performs related duties as assigned.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (which are not in any hierarchical order)

  • Performs preventive building maintenance duties, caulks windows and doors, preparations for weather changes.
  • Performs routine seasonal tasks such as HVAC filter replacements, resetting of timers for exterior lighting, spraying for bugs.
  • Responsible for trimming of landscaping and prevention of weeds at select locations.
  • Performs routine plumbing repairs such as unstopping toilets, sinks or urinals, fixing water leaks, leaking faucets, and water fountains.
  • Performs routine electrical repairs such as changing light bulbs or fluorescent lamps and assists in repairing ballast and light fixtures.
  • Performs routine maintenance, cleaning and minor repairs to bank equipment including coin and currency counters, and replacement of safe deposit box locks.
  • Purchases supplies, equipment, and materials necessary to complete projects.
  • Assembles and moves furniture, hang pictures and bulletin boards, moves boxes of customer files for storage.
  • Repairs and replaces door knobs or locks, repairs door closures, patches holes in walls.
  • Responsible for scheduling basic maintenance and repairs for bank’s fleet of vehicles.
  • Provides recommendations to supervisor regarding necessary preventative maintenance or repairs.

Desired Skills

  • Knowledge of a variety of building maintenance procedures and techniques.
  • Knowledge of machinery, equipment, and tools necessary for the maintenance and repair of public buildings.
  • Skill in reading and following blueprints and assembly instructions.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with bank staff and the public.
  • Must be comfortable and able to work on a ladder of 20 feet.
  • Must be able to work independently without direct supervision.
