A&D Electrical Supply is looking for a positive, ambitious, outgoing individual with impeccable people skills to be an Energy Efficiency Consultant. This individual will identify and consult with Central and Southern Illinois businesses, who have old lightbulbs that are wasting energy. A&D Electrical Supply is a registered Program Ally of the Ameren Illinois Energy Efficiency Program. As an Ally, we work with Ameren to provide incentives to businesses to reduce their energy use by providing high efficiency lighting. Ameren Illinois covers a large share of the cost of these new lights, allowing the business to benefit from better and cheaper light for little or no cost to the business.
This would be a commission only, contract position, paid based on the number of lights replaced (or efficiency gained) at the customer’s site. The role could be part time or fulltime in nature.
The duties of an Energy Efficiency Sales Agent would include:
1) Identifying and connecting with businesses who would benefit from upgrading their lighting to be more energy efficient.
2) Conducting an on-site visit at the business to get room dimensions, count and photograph existing lightbulbs, and collect some basic paperwork from the business.
3) Submit the completed paperwork, dimensions, light bulb counts, and photos to A&D Electrical Supply.
4) Coordinate with the Business on when the new lights will be installed, based on delivery and contractor scheduling.

Must be an outgoing, positive, people person.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Competent in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook.
Must be able to clearly document the project with photos and dimensions.
Self-motivated and a self-starter.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
3 years of external sales is a plus.
Having an existing network of business relationships is a plus.
