Responsibilities of the Maintenance Assistant:
- Troubleshoot any emergencies or urgent repairs
- Make all necessary repairs as needed
- Complete daily work orders
- Help ensure the proper maintenance of electricity, plumbing and all equipment
- Inspect and repair all damages to building surfaces, painting as necessary
- Monitor functionality of safety systems (e.g., fire alarm)
- Check and replace filters
- Install appliances and equipment
- Adhere to quality standards of health and safety regulations
Desired Skills
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. required
- MAINTENANCE EXPERIENCE A MUST!
- Experience with dry walling, painting, tile installation, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC
- Previous experience in a residential health care setting a plus
- Good communication skills a must
- Able to work well independently
