Salary Range: $75000 and Up

The Manager, Energy Efficiency is responsible for the supervision, implementation, development, evaluation and continuous improvement of Ameren Illinois' portfolio of Energy Efficiency programs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead a team of employees, supervisors and contractors responsible for the execution of Ameren Illinois' Energy Efficiency Programs.
  • Lead the development and execution of marketing, planning, regulatory, program administration and program implementation strategies that motivate customers to implement energy efficiency and demand response projects.
  • Supervise the performance and development of employees responsible for leading the implementation of the energy efficiency and demand response portfolio for Ameren Illinois' customers.
  • Oversee the coordination of internal and external resources (contractors, subcontractors and vendors) committed execution of Ameren Illinois' energy efficiency portfolio in a manner that is consistent with Ameren Illinois' key portfolio objectives. Maintain an appropriate positive and mutually beneficial business relationship with business and professional groups and industry allies in support of Ameren Illinois' energy efficiency objectives.
  • Lead efforts to ensure that Ameren Illinois is successful related to its evaluation, measurement and verification of its energy efficiency programs.
  • Lead efforts that ensure Ameren Illinois financial control and program management processes are followed and completed in a timely fashion with a very high degree of accuracy.
  • Approve and track program performance metrics. Prepare status reports to accurately monitor progress against portfolio objectives, timelines, budgets and goals.
  • Stay abreast of ongoing research and trends in energy efficiency and demand response.

Provide active leadership to support Ameren Illinois' engagement with the Illinois EE Statewide Advisory Group. Group members include: Commission Staff, Attorney General's Office, Commonwealth Edison, and various consumer and environmental advocacy groups

Desired Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university required. Master's Degree preferred.
  • Seven or more years of relevant experience required.
  • Prior supervisory or team leadership experience preferred. Experience with energy efficiency, demand side management, or energy end-use applications preferred.

In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:

Understanding of utility terms and conditions, processes and procedures; Proficiency with MS Office Suite of applications; Thorough understanding of Energy Delivery systems and processes; and the following Ameren competencies: Think Customer, Inspire and Engage, Foster Innovation, Drive Results, Champion Learning, Build Trust, and Be Strategic.
