Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate HVAC service projects, including system installation, repair, and maintenance for commercial and residential properties.
- Diagnose complex issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters to identify root causes efficiently.
- Supervise field service activities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and project timelines.
- Oversee the repair and maintenance of refrigeration systems—including ammonia refrigeration—air conditioning units, boilers, appliances, and other mechanical equipment.
- Collaborate with clients to assess their HVAC needs; provide expert recommendations on system design improvements or upgrades involving HVAC design principles.
- Manage inventory of parts and tools necessary for equipment repair and maintenance tasks; coordinate procurement when needed.
- Train and mentor technicians on technical skills such as welding, plumbing, electrical schematics interpretation, and equipment repair techniques to foster team growth.
Desired Skills
- Extensive experience in construction projects involving HVAC system installation and property maintenance.
- Proven service technician experience with a strong background in HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and blueprints related to HVAC design and mechanical systems.
- Mechanical knowledge covering boilers, ammonia refrigeration systems, plumbing connections, appliance repair, and general equipment troubleshooting.
- Skilled in field service operations with a focus on preventative maintenance and emergency repairs.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters; experience with welding techniques for system repairs or modifications.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; familiarity with <PERSON> driver requirements is a plus.
