LIHEAP Assistance Program

With the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance program (LIHEAP), eligible income-qualified households may obtain utility bill assistance through their Local Administering Agencies. You are automatically qualified for LIHEAP assistance if you participate in the SNAP food stamps program, TANF Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, or the SSI program through Social Security.

SWIC’s Illinois Worknet Office provides members of the community assistance with resume and cover letter writing and job search techniques utilizing all the latest tools to further their career development and employment goals.

At the Belleville Campus, the IL Worknet Resource Room is located on the first floor of the Information Sciences Building.

St. Clair County HVAC Programs

Find a Belleville area trade school with HVAC technician certificate classes and associate degree programs. Take a technical college HVAC course and learn to test, install, and repair different types of HVAC systems. Schools have training classes for NATE and EPA certification too.

HVAC & REFRIGERATION DEGREE AND CERTIFICATION PROGRAMS

In two years or less you will be career ready with the certification program. The Associate in Applied Science degree will allow you to continue your education at select universities while also preparing you to start a career right after graduation. Over the course of the program will learn how to repair and maintain heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems in commercial, residential and industrial settings.
