Position Overview

The Division of Mental Health is seeking a highly responsible staff assistant for the Deputy Director of Quality Management. This position will identify important aspects of care and develop and monitor performance indicators and corrective actions, document improvement, receive and forward calls appropriately, develop written responses and schedule meetings and conferences. This position will also provide advice and guidance to community providers and State-Operated Psychiatric Hospitals on quality assessment and improvement programs and implementation of standards. This position will also serve on committees, document minutes, process documents and serve as a timekeeper.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Serves as highly responsible staff assistant for the Deputy Director of Quality Management.
  2. Provides advice and guidance to community providers and SOPH Quality Assessment and Improvement programs and the implementation of standards developed by the state agencies.
  3. Serves on a variety of DHS and Division of Mental Health committees, both standing and ad hoc.
  4. Processes and/or completes various documents in an accurate and timely manner for SOPH and Central Office staff.
  5. Serves as timekeeper for identified program staff.
  6. Performs other duties as assigned or required that are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. One (1) year of professional experience conducting reviews to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, practices, and standards for a private or public organization.
  2. Two (2) years of professional experience meeting deadlines with strong attention to detail while multi-tasking multiple projects.
  3. Two (2) years of professional experience communicating effectively with both internal and external stakeholders in oral and written form.
  4. Two (2) years of professional experience working in a public or private organization maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with professionalism.
  5. Two (2) years of professional experience managing projects for a public or private organization.
  6. One (1) year of basic proficiency in Microsoft, Outlook, and Excel.

Work Hours: 8:30am-5pm, Monday-Friday
