If so, we are looking for you to join our team as a Maintenance Technician at our 87-unit elderly/disabled community in Decatur, Illinois.

  • Perform essential work to keep our property in great shape
  • Complete service requests in a timely manner, interact with residents, and keep your property’s systems in good working order
  • Coordinate completion of resident and management service requests in a timely manner.
  • Turn and prepare vacant units to occupancy standard within established time frame, including painting, cleaning and repairs.
  • Maintain and conduct all janitorial responsibilities for all common areas, bathrooms, hallways
  • Inspect property mechanical systems and grounds; immediately address safety issues with management.
  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance activities in partnership with supervisor.
  • Partner with Maintenance Supervisor to prepare site for inspections.
  • Maintain workplace safety policies and standards
  • Rotating on-call responsibility for emergency maintenance repairs.


Desired Skills

  • You have at least 1 year of maintenance/facilities experience (or related field) with affordable housing experience preferred
  • Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM and shares on call every other week (required)
  • You’re able to work our emergency on-call rotation as needed and can lift up to 50 lbs and stand for an 8-hour shift.
